According to recent reports, childcare costs in the United States have increased dramatically in recent years. Choosing Au Pair 4 Me childcare and hosting an au pair gives you so much more than a nanny or daycare provider. Your family gets quality live-in childcare up to 45 hours per week for as little as $383.75 per week. Regardless of how many children you have or how old they are!

To make the cost of the au pair program even more manageable, we offer standard and extended payment plan, allowing families to choose a payment option that works best for them and their budget. Total annual cost covers minimum weekly stipend paid to your au pair and our agency fee for Standard Au Pair Program.
Program Fee Includes:
- FREE REGISTRATION & APPLICATION
- Recruitment, interviewing, screening and selection of the au pair and host family
- Health insurance for your au pair
- Partial J-1 visa processing
- Year-long support and assistance
- Orientation and Training Program for your au pair
- Round-trip international airfare for your au pair.
- One-way transportation from Orientation and Training Program to host family’s home.
Host Family Must Also Provide:
- Room and board
- Weekly stipend based on the program option selected (Standard Au Pair - minimum of $195.75; EduCare Au Pair - minimum of $146.81)*
- $500 or $1,000 educational stipend
- Auto insurance (if au pair is required to drive)
- Cost of facilitating travel to classes and monthly cluster meetings
*Note: Host families and au pairs are free to agree to compensation higher than the required minimum weekly stipend. However, this cannot be in exchange for the au pair exceeding the regulatory limits on working hours (10 hours per day; 45 hours per week for Standard au pair and 30 hours per week for EduCare au pair) or performing duties that are not childcare-related. A host family may not pay less than the weekly minimum stipend for each week of the program.
The au pair minimum weekly stipend, room and board, education allowance and other program elements are subject to change based on any revisions to Department of State regulations for the au pair program, or any other applicable laws or regulations.
Proposed Updates to Program Regulations: On October 30, 2023 the U.S. Department of State published new proposed regulations for the au pair program. If enacted, the regulations would affect the total cost of and obligations associated with hosting an au pair. It is important to note that those are only proposals and there are no changes to the existing regulations and obligations. For more information, please click HERE.
